Saint John River, #97

Number 97, Saint John River (35K)
Number 97, Saint John River,
November 5, 2008

The river is very high
after a rainy summer and fall,
so I can't get at the tires
which are lying in the deep water.
So I am picking them off the banks.

The countdown to Saint John Number 100 continues. Will it be me who gets it? Probably. But it may have to wait for next spring.
We'll see.

Tire Number 97 lay in the silt ten feet up the bank.
nr98maybe (25K)This one was beside my canoe as I came to shore for number 97.
I'll need a saw and a spade to unearth it.

This tractor tire might be too heavy for just me.
But we'll see, pretty soon. It's also near Number 97.
